Wanderers, Azzurri, Antonhill & Bank of China Still Unbeaten Monday 21st November 2016

Wanderers’ narrow 1-0 win over fellow Sports Roader’s Colts has opened up a six point gap at the top of division one after nine rounds and with the peerless Freddie in goals, a stunning midfield, buttressed by summer signings Brown and Campion, and master tactician Danny Beatie’s swapping out of the half-time oranges for performance enhancing jellied eels it would be a brave man to bet against them for a first championship in four years should there be any further daylight between them and the chasing pack of four teams who are now separated by only a point with Albion improving on their goal difference following a 8-1 thrashing of Squadron, Dragons edging Swiss by the odd goal in three and GAS walloping Colloids 7-2 with a Zoeller hat-trick and a right foot peach from southpaw player-manager Adam Wise among the goals for the GAS.
Azzuri’s march to the top tier shows no sign of slowing after a 3-1 win over ANP, Dynamo’s nose bleed continues after they scored the only goal in their game with WYFC06, HKU70s and White Youth drew 4-4 in what must have been the game of the day, GGFC and IES shared the points and four goals and CSOB moved further away from the relegation places after edging bottom placed Grasshoppers 2-1.
Antonhill remain unbeaten following a business-like 2-0 win over Darts at Community Sports, Maccabi ensured the gap at the top is still a solitary point after they beat Power 22 by the same scoreline, Yan Po are still in the mix after a 1-0 win over HKSS, University beat HOB 3-2, Goal Visio went down 4-5 to FOB in a humdinger of a game and Scorpions recorded their first win of the season after they won 3-2 in their game with OBA.
Corinthians’ 1-0 win over Bapcoll moved them into the top two after Green Cypress dropped to third after going down 1-3 to Standard Chartered, new boys Gurkha Int’l hit CAPS for six, Wah Yan’s Class of ’84 lost 0-3 to Hung Art and Rising Sun defeated Skyline 2-0.
