The Yau Yee Football League was founded in 1977 as a multi cultural social football group with the primarily focus to combine a good game of football with social activities on a Sunday afternoon. The League and its first ever division was established among local and overseas players. A total of 8 different teams created and signed the very first constitution. Since the Yau Yee Football League has significantly grown as well as contributed to the cultural and sport development in and on behalf of Hong Kong's ever fast changing environment. The League is extremely proud to have achieved the first 50th Anniversary in their existence. Today, the Yau Yee Football League consist of 4 Divisions and 52 Teams. A total of approx. 1'560 active playing and motivated members. Not mentioning our thousands of live time members, which have played in our League over the decades.
"Yau Yee" means friendship in Cantonese and it is significant reflection of our DNA and our history in Hong Kong.
With the establishment of our new website and our engagement as well as commitment to enter and connect with the social media acitvities in the 21st century, we have set another mile stone in the positive and ongoing progress to improve and grow our amateur football community.
