Dear Team Reps and Members, I am excited to announce that I have closed a first sponsorship deal with JOMA as our official YYL Match Ball Sponsor for this season 2024/2025. We have worked closely with JOMA this year during the HKFC 7’s and had great experience with their service and execution for our Match Kits, Football gear and general Appearance. We will receive a decent number of FIFA PRO certified footballs (pls see attached) in due course for Kings Park and HKFC. The Referees will bring the Match Balls to each game. In case a YYL Team LOOSES a ball and those not prove the necessary effort to find or retrieve the lost ball they will be fully charged HKD 600.- per ball. Dear Team Reps and Members I actually wanted to start with some great and exciting news but being rather unexpected forced to raise the following very SERIOUS concerns over the last few weekends in connection with violent conduct and behavior of YYL players towards our much appreciated Referees. There has been two recent cases where players have been sent off for making contact with the match officials. It is not NOT ACCEPTABLE that ANYONE touches or get physical against any Referee or Player. The DSC has reprimanded those players with a very strong signal and long match ban punishment. As I am concerned about those latest actions, I remind all Team Reps, Coaches and Managers to get their team attitude under control and in shape. Those players are now on the watch list of DSC and any further or continued issues or action of those players will have serious additional consequences.
