Last Wednesday saw the rearranged game between Colts and KCC end in a 1-0 win for Colts with former KCC player Mosen Anti Ampofo scoring the goal for Colts, yesterday saw the two pace setters USRC and 816 move away from the chasing pack with a 3-2 win against Antonhill and a 4-2 win against White Youth respectively, Wanderers remain in third after a thrilling 4-4 draw with French Kiss who remain in contention in sixth place, Squadron missed their chance to keep pace with the leaders going down 1-2 to Albion and Spartans and KCC Dragons played out another thrilling 4-4 draw, meaning 30 goals were scored in the five first division games yesterday. GAS maintained their recent excellent run of form to go 3 points clear at the top of division two this time coming away with a convincing 3-0 win over Boca with Swiss and Oxford playing out a goalless stalemate to leave them in second and third place respectively, ANP stay in contention for a promotion place after at 2-0 win over CSOB, University beat Wah Yan’s class of ’84 2-1, the game between Hoo Cheung and Yan Po was a goalless draw and the result of the bottom of the table clash between Azzurri and Hearts was late in. Mobsters moved further ahead at the top of division three after beating Amphibians 4-1 with goals coming from Alex Kirk, a brace from Lester Rosario and a fine strike from outside the box from Nick Park who registered his frist 11-a-side goal since P5, NASA were beaten 3-0 by Standard Chartered but remain in second position, CAPS overcame Darts 2-0 and close the gap in third place, HKSS look poised to make a challenge for promotion after beating Rising Sun 2-0 and Grasshoppers are still in touch after a 4-1 win over Scorpions. In the fourth division a depleted GGFC side took advantage of Crusaders’ “rest week” with a 2-1 win over Youth Coaches with Lawal Babatunde notching for GGFC who are now three points clear at the top, Dynamo stayed in contention after a 4-2 win over Bapcoll Jonathan Cockett (pronounced Coquet) scoring yet again for Dynamo and Pete Tisman putting in a man of the match performance at left-half for Dynamo, Corinthians won emphatically 6-0 against HOB, Power 22 beat Barclays 2-1 and HKU70s won 3-0 against Skyline.
