Barring three outstanding games that will be played in the next seven days, the half way point in all four league competitions was reached yesterday.
In the first division 4 points separate the top four teams after USRC were held 0-0 by KCC, Swiss slayed the Dragons 2-1, Colts and Wanderers drew by the same scoreline, 816 won 6-1 against French Kiss with Henry Kwong and Warren Tsang scoring twice for 816 and player manager Steven Verhasselt getting the goal for French Kiss, Squadron jumped 3 place after defeating Albion 3-1 and Antonill changed places with ANP in penultimate place after beating them 2-0.
Mobsters stay top of the second division after coming from behind to draw 1-1 thanks to Andy Mitchell’s ninth goal of the season, GAS closed the gap to 3 points after a 3-1 win over Spartans who remain just above the relegation spots, Boca moved to third after beating White Youth 2-0 who slipped to fifth place as a result, University moved up into fourth pace after a 1-1 draw with Oxford, WYFC84 scored the only goal of the game against HKUSA and Hoo Cheung shared the spoils with Yan Po after drawing 1-1.
Darts got the points against leaders Colloids after a 2-1 win and this leaves them nicely poised in third place on goal difference behind Grasshoppers who beat CAPS 2-0, Hearts are fourth after a 1-1 draw with Hung Art, HKSS beat Azzurri 3-0, Amphibians beat Rising Sun 4-0 and GGFC continued their fine league form with a 2-0 win against Wah Yan’s Class 0f ’04.
Crusaders moved five points clear at the top of the fourth division after an emphatic 5-1 win over Bapcoll, Standard Chartered remain in second place despite losing 2-3 to Dynamo with the evergreen Jon McKinley getting an assist and then scoring direct from a 25 yard free-kick for Dynamo, Power 22 are 1 point behind in third place afer a 3-0 win over Youth Coaches, Corinthians moved into fourth place after Charlie Pryke came off the bench to score a last minute winner for the Cors, HKU70s and Scorpions are fifth and sixth respectively after the latter edged the former 2-1 and Skyline recorded their first win since September with a 5-1 hammering of Green Tree.
