Leaders and reigning champions USRC were held to a scoreless draw by Colts yesterday and are 4 points clear at the top of the table after second placed Wanderers scored two injury time goals against 816 to give them a scarcely deserved 3-2 win which allowed them to gain two points and with both teams having to play each other in the penultimate game of the season the run in looks exciting, KCC remain in fourth spot after a 1-1 draw with a battling French Kiss side who equalized through a 25 yard screamer, Swiss beat Squadron 3-2 to record their first win in 6 games, Albion won 4-1 against Antonhill who remain in last place and ANP moved two points clear of the relegation places after a 1-0 win over Dragons.
In division two leaders Mobsters were held to a 2-2 draw against a battling WYFC84 side, GAS leapfrogged Boca into second place after beating them 3-1 with all goals coming from the Davis brothers (a brace from leading scorer James and 1 for Chris), Boca’s goal was a fine strike from Luca Merlone, Spartans remain fourth after sharing the points in a six goal thriller with Oxford for whom Steve Edwards scored twice with great strikes from 12 yards, White Youth moved passed University into fifth place after beating them 2-0, Hoo Cheung edged HKUSA 2-1 and Yan Po beat CSOB 3-0 to leave the relegation battle well poised.
Colloids stay top of the third division after a convincing 4-0 win over WYFC06, HKSS stay second after winning 3-1 against CAPS, Hearts moved into third place after a 3-0 win over Darts with Douglas Simmons winding the clock back and scoring a great header, Azzurri beat Hung Art 2-1 and OBA and GGFC beat Amphibians and Rising Sun respectively to leave only 4 points separating the bottom 4 teams.
Crusaders remain unbeaten and are now 8 points clear at the summit of div 4 after beating Dynamo 4-2 at Ma On Shan – player manager Dennis Vleugels getting one of the Dynamo goals, Corinthians remain in second place but were stung 1-3 by Scorpions to leave the race for second place white hot after Power 22 and Standard Chartered both won 1-0 over Barclays and HKU70s respectively meaning there are only two points separating these teams and Skyline edged Youth Coaches 1-0.
