816’s lead at the summit of division one has been reduced to goal difference following their 1-2 defeat to second place Albion and with two games left to play it’s looking likely that it will go down to the wire, Wanderers moved up into the medal places after beating a Colts team who, with 816 and Albion still left to play, could mathematically still go down, USRC and Dragons are fourth and fifth respectively after their Jordan derby produced the match of the day with 10 goals and the points being shared, GAS secured a top half of the table finish after a 3-1 win that ensured French Kiss will be playing division two football next season, Swiss and Antonhill drew 1-1 that leaves the latter still in with a chance of avoiding the drop especially as their remaining games are against the two teams directly above them, Spartans and Mobsters, who also drew 1-1.
Knights leapfrogged Squadron and moved into tops spot in div 2 following a narrow 3-2 win against bottom placed HKSS, Squadron were beaten 1-0 by University, who are all but safe, and with White Youth winning 4-1 against Oxford, who are almost certain to join HKSS in the drop, and having to play both Squadron and Knights in their remaining games, the promotion places are now a three horse race, Azzurri remain fourth after a 3-0 win over Hoo Cheung, Colloids thrashed Boca 5-0 and ANP won 3-1 in their game with Hearts to leave the teams in sixth and seventh places respectively.
HKUSA ensured they remain in top spot in the third division after an emphatic 5-0 win against already relegated Scorpions, OBA are still in the promotion places after their 5-2 win over Yan Po, Corinthians dropped two places to third following a 1-3 defeat to Dynamo in a game that leaves both teams now with only an outside chance of promotion with two games to go, CSOB and Darts drew 3-3, WYFC84 went down 0-1 to GGFC and Grasshoppers and Hung Art drew 1-1.
WYFC06, without kicking a ball, are guaranteed promotion after third place Power 22 went down 0-1 to Standard Chartered and with second place HOB drawing 1-1 with HKU70s, next week’s game between Power 22 and HOB may possibly decide who also moves up a division, IES beat CAPS 4-1, Amphibians overcame Youth Coaches 3-1, Bapcoll won 5-1 against Rising Sun and Skyline were 3-0 victors over Barclays.
