At the last exco meeting it was agreed that a synopsis of the minutes would be sent to members and placed on the website.

The next exco meeting is tonight and we will promulgate a synopsis of the minutes to members in due course.

Summary of 1st Exco meeting (wed, 19/9/2012)

Absent: Edwin Lim, Simon Lam, Tom Vincent, Lawrence Rudge, Nick Bennet

1. Future exco meeting summaries to be published
2. FA youth team not inducted into league but possibly available for friendlies. (interested teams please contact exco to arrange)
3. An informal veteran’s league idea will be investigated. (Exco looking into co-opting organiser for this. Interested candidates please contact exco)
4. To facilitate the referees association to upgrade refereeing standards, exco will be asking teams to submit reasons for marking a referee below 4 in future.
5. It was discovered that on the same day a notice of identification checks was placed on the website, a team had altered names and/or ID numbers of four players. The League will enquire into the reasons for these alterations.
6. Treasurer submitted preliminary budget for planning purposes. It was decided that the budget was not detailed enough and without enough proposed next steps and will need to be reworked. Treasurer to submit revised feasible budget before second exco meeting for discussion. Exco plans on publishing a feasible budget latest after the second exco meeting.
7. The league has lost long time sponsors HKDC and many thanks to them for their generosity and support over many years. As a result we will be actively trying to recruit new sponsors. (interested sponsors and/or any members with potential sponsor leads please contact exco asap. Remember, this is your league).
8. Exco discussed but have vetoed the idea of a league provided official match ball due to logistical and storage problems. Teams will continue to provide match balls themselves. (please be reminded that each team is supposed to provide 2 x match balls each match).
9. Exco has decided to clearly define the roles of each exco position and various sub-committees. These roles will be published on the website with the responsible party(ies) in due course.
10. Exco has discussed the role of league President. It is not written in the constitution at present. Exco will further report on any decisions regarding this position.
11. DSC is looking into an alleged incident involving a YYL member heckling abuse during last season’s cup final. Further information will be furnished once DSC discussion is complete.
