Result for the Game of Apr 21, 13 |
Sunday 21st April 2013 |
Wanderers sealed their first championship for three years following a 3-0 win against Colts, USRC’s 2-1 win over Dragons in the GasCox derby ensured their highest finish in the 2010’s, Swiss could finish third after they won 3-1 against Knights, a result that, barring a couple of freak results, resigns the Knight to playing in division two next season, The GAS hit Colloids for six which is still good enough for the ‘Oids to avoid relegation and gives the Germans a real chance of finishing fifth come the last round of games next week and Squadron beat already relegated Boca, 4-0.
Antonhill ensured they will re-join the first division as div two champions after they beat closest rivals and second-placed French Kiss, 2-0, Mobsters, with talismanic skipper, John Fawcett, back after a four game absence, threw the chase for the third promotion place wide open, following a narrow 1-0 win over ANP, Spartans moved down to fourth and are relying on Mobsters’ result next week, against French Kiss, and a victory against ANP to stand any chance of getting promotion, already relegated Hoo Cheung and Dynamo lost 1-3 and 1-2 against Hearts and Corinthians respectively and White scored five goal against Oxford without reply.
CSOBs 2-0 win over third place GGFC confirmed they will go up to division two as champions, Yan Po will finish second despite going down to a 1-4 defeat at the hands of Wah Yan’s Class of ’06, fourth placed OBA were beaten 0-1 by Crusaders who now have a mathematical chance of promotion, HKUSA’s 2-2 draw with HKU70s ensured that they will still be in the promotion mix next week and in the other games, already relegated Power 22 beat University by the odd goal in three and HOB put four past Grasshoppers without reply.
CAPS are now confirmed as the champions of division four following their 2-0 win over Youth Coaches, going into the last day of the season, there are any amazing five teams chasing the two remaining promotion places, Darts stayed in second place after they won 5-0 against Bapcoll and have a “double-header” with HKSS next week, Scorpions remain third after a 5-3 win in the game of the day against Hung Art, IES and Green Cypress remain in fourth and fifth places respective following their 2-2 draw, HKSS are still in with a shout ,despite going down to a 0-1 defeat to Rising Sun, as they go into the remaining 15 minutes of their abandoned game next week with Darts with a 1-0 lead (with a full game also to be played between the teams on the same day…) and Standard Chartered shaded Skyline by depositing two goals into the oppositions nett without reply.
Exco will change venues and times for games next week, where necessary, that are “involved” in the promotion places still to be decided, in divisions two, three and four. Teams should visit the website regularly to ensure they are aware of where and when they will be playing.
