Thursday 19th October 2006 |
Under Rule 55 of the Yau Yee League Rules and Regulations, the Disciplinary Sub-committee (DSC) has reviewed the reports on a red card received by a Club Wanderers player for violent conduct in the above match.
Under the Disciplinary Guideline 4, the minimum penalty for violent conduct is a suspension of three matches, together with a $500 fine for a red card offence. The DSC has taken the view that the actions of the player constituted a serious case of violent conduct, and has decided to double the minimum penalty and the fine.
The player in question has therefore received the following penalties –
· A six-match ban
· A fine of $1,000
· 3 disciplinary points
Club Wanderers have indicated that they may take further internal action against the player concerned in the interests of strengthening team discipline. - Hon. Secretary Wilson Hon
