Note to Teams Friday 30th April 2021

As per a previous note to teams, all team reps are to pay attention to all rules, particularly to registration and discipline. We've now had 6 x teams being deducted points for the playing of ineligible players (due to playing whilst under suspension for the receipt of four yellow cards). All cases will now be dealt with in the same manner and not the subject of appeal, the rules and punishments are very clear.

A note has been posted on the homepage with regard to applications to join the YYL, applicants will be interviewed and any teams found suitable to join the league will be presented to members at the AGM.

Should no new team(s) join the league, 2 x teams will be promoted from the fourth, third, and second divisions. Should 1 x new team be accepted into the league by members they will join in the fourth division and 3 x teams will be promoted from the fourth and third divisions. Should 2 x new teams be accepted into the league by members they will join the fourth division and 3 x teams will be promoted from the fourth and third divisions. In all of these scenarios, 2 x teams will be relegated from the first, second and third divisions. Any other scenario will be decided by ExCo.

We have received a large number of complaints from teams this season regarding the behaviour of their peers. We remind all teams to spend an adequate amount of time to ensure they are registering and playing eligible players and that the managers and their players behave in a manner that ensures that they, their opponents and match and league officials enjoy the experience that comes with the great privilege of membership. The ExCo over many, many years has spent a lot of time ensuring that all members have access to good facilities, have 3 x match officials at all matches and first aiders where/when possible. On any given Sunday, it's up to member teams, particularly team management, to ensure an enjoyable experience for all involved.

As per a previous note, the final round of league games (round 22) are scheduled for Sunday 9 May. The next rounds of the cup competitions are scheduled for 16 May (we will have the draw at KP for the quarter finals on this day), the quarter finals will be on the following Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (i.e. 18-20 May), the semi-finals will be held on 23 May and the cup finals will be held at HKFC on Saturday 29 May.

Trophies and medals will be given out on (or before) the last day of the season, where physically possible.

Good luck in your games for the rest of the season.

YYL Exco
