Abuse of Match Officials |
2018年2月3日星期六 |
As we are now well into the second half of the season the committee would like to remind all teams and team reps that any verbal or physical abuse of referees and match officials will not be tolerated in any form. This season we have had a number of incidents where the referee has been verbally and physically abused. These have led to significant suspensions of players of 6 and 10 matches from one match and 3 years and life in another from the YYL league. There has also been an incident where a team had scored the ref as 1 even before the game kicked off, which led to a team fine.
We want to ensure that everyone enjoys their football and respects the match officials as without them we would not have a league. Teams are reminded that the team captain should manage the behaviour of the players while on the pitch. Any future incidents where the player or management have committed abusive language or threatened the referees will be viewed upon very seriously by the disciplinary committee.
