It was agreed that a draw would be made for the league fixtures for the coming 2013-14 season, to be held in Delaney’s in Wan Chai (1F, One Capital Place, 18 Luard Road) this coming Friday 28 June from 7pm - snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.

All ExCo members confirmed, either prior to, or at the meeting, that they would be re-standing for their current positions at the next AGM. It was raised that many members of the committee had been serving a long time, in one case for over twenty years, and that we should encourage Yau Yee League team managers and players to join the ExCo if they have a genuine interest to serve the member teams in the running of the league. (On average, ExCo members meet no more than 4 or 5 times a year and most of the work is conducted via email. We want to stress that generally, the work on the YYL exco does not take up a lot of time and will not unduly burden potential candidates. Although the exco is made up of more westerners at the moment, there are ample Cantonese speakers and therefore language should not be a problem for potential local candidates.) Also, it was discussed that it may be prudent to impose limits on the period of time ExCo members can serve.

We are pleased to announce an AGM date of Friday 30 August 2013 at 7pm, venue to be confirmed. Should anyone require more information about joining the ExCo they should feel free to contact myself, their Division Reps or anyone else on ExCo.

Members should note that KGV will not be available for use for the whole of the 2013-14 season and this will have an impact on the scheduling of fixtures, with other venues being sought within the league and through other sources, coupled with the possibility of some mid-week fixtures.

We have not received any applications to join the YYL, from teams who can provide pitches, so the format for the league next season will be 12 teams in divisions 1, 2 and 4 and 13 teams in division 3.
