Final Round Of League Matches – Sunday 30 April 2017

Please note that, as in previous seasons, for the final round of league matches we will try to organise matches involving teams from the same division with a chance of promotion or relegation to be played at the same time. This will help maximise interest and ensure a level playing field for the teams concerned. Depending on league positions after the penultimate round this could require the moving of fixtures to different pitches, changes to kick-off times and the relinquishing of home pitches. We would aim to ensure that any movement of fixtures involving promotion or relegation would have a minimal effect on the schedules for other matches and we will notify the teams concerned of any changes as soon as possible.

For the avoidance of doubt, if two or more teams are on the same points at the end of the season, the league place(s) will be decided by the following and in this order:

Goal Difference
Most Goals Scored
Head to Head
Play Off Game With Extra Time (10 minutes each way) And Penalties If Required

40th Anniversary Annual Dinner & Cup Finals - Saturday 6 May 2017

We are pleased to announce that the annual dinner will be held at HKFC at 7pm on Saturday 6th May 2017. Tickets will includes a buffet dinner and 2-hour open bar (wine, beer and soft drinks). The dinner will be preceded by the Exco/Teams Reps XI (any team rep interested in playing should email michael.johnson@yauyeeleague.com), YYL Chairman’s Cup Final and the YYL Cup Final; we encourage all members, supporters and families to come down to watch. The dinner, with Jon McKinley as emcee, will include a lucky draw (we will have some special guests to assist with the prize giving) and the goal of the season competition to be voted by teams. Each team must purchase a minimum of 4 tickets and teams taking 6 or more tickets will receive a subsidy – final costs to be confirmed.

Book tickets through your division representatives by latest 28th April 2017, stating how many seats you require. Should the event be over-booked, allocations will be on a first-come-first-served basis. You do not have to settle payment immediately, the ticket costs will be added to your team account for the third and final payment of the season.

YYL 6-A-Sides – Sundays 14th & 21st May 2017

The fixtures are on the website for the first round of the 6s which will be held on Sunday 14th May 2017 and the finals will be held on the following Sunday (21st May) for the teams that qualify. The rules and format are in the attached spreadsheet and all teams are reminded to bring a blank team sheet on each day they are in the competition and hand it in to the organizers desk before their first game. Trophies will be handed to the winners directly after the finals.
