Club Colts v French Kiss, 17 February 2008
- Red Card for French Kiss Player
The Disciplinary Sub-committee (DSC) of the Yau Yee League has reviewed reports from the referee and both teams on the incident that led to a French Kiss player receiving a red card in this match.
Based on the reports, the DSC has concluded that the player was given a red card for violent conduct – specifically, for deliberately kicking an opposition player from behind just after that player had scored a goal.
The DSC considered that such conduct was not only violent in itself, but could also have led to further incident between the teams. With reference to the Yau Yee League Rules and Disciplinary Guideline 4, the DSC has decided that player should be subject to the following penalties –
A $500 fine
A four-match ban
3 disciplinary points.
The four-match ban took effect from the League match on 24 February 2008.
