All 16 games of the second round of the cup were contested yesterday. Power 22 overcame third division WYFC84 with the only goal of the game, Grasshoppers beat fellow third division team Darts 2-0 in the early game at Community Sports, Colts edged French Kiss 2-1, USRC beat Albion 4-3, Oxford just managed to beat third division OBA 2-1, giant killers Crusaders hammered second division Yan Po 7-0, Antonhill had a fright after being held 2-2 by HKSS only to win on penalties, Corinthians won for the second time in a week on penalties after a 1-1 draw with Bapcoll, Mobsters scored the only goal of the game through Mark Grainger in the game against GAS, Squadron scored three and hit the woodwork five times against Amphibians who failed to score, KCC saw off Spartans 3-0, Dragons slayed Skyline 10-0, Wanderers overcame Saturday night’s wardrobe malfunction and hit White Youth for six without reply, Boca sneaked a 2-1 win over Colloids in the game of the day at King’s Park and 816 put ten passed a never-say-die GGFC for whom Brett Hutton came close to scoring and Club Chairman Dave Cameron put in a man of the match performance in what was his first appearance in 30 months, skipper Joe Chung Hui Ho got a hat trick for 816.
In the fourth division, Standard Chartered remain in second place despite being stung 1-2 by Scorpions who moved up five places in the league as a result and HKU70s withdrew 3 points from Barclays after an emphatic 4-0 win.
