Red Card for Spitting
The Disciplinary Sub-committee (DSC) of the Yau Yee League has reviewed reports from the referee and both teams involved, on an incident that led to a player receiving a red card for spitting in a recent match.
Based on the reports and further confirmation from the referee, the DSC concluded that the player was guilty of spitting at an opponent. This is a serious offence of misconduct, and similar cases have drawn heavy penalties in the past.
Consistent with a judgment in a similar case last season, the player in question was subject to the following penalties â
ï¬ A $500 fine
ï¬ A three-match ban
ï¬ 3 disciplinary points
