KCC Dragons are now the only team in the league to be on maximum points after a narrow 3-2 win over Mobsters moved them two points clear at the summit of division one – Neil Key on the score-sheet again with a brace for the Cox’s Roaders, 816 dropped their first points of the season following a 1-1 draw with Squadron who were previously pointless and who have now moved out of the relegation places, Colts rebounded from last weeks mauling with a workmanlike 2-0 win over USRC who are still third but with two defeats in 3 games the Gascoigne Roader’s seem to be losing some impetus, Wanderers are fourth after they hammered Antonhill 9-2, Swiss and Albion drew 1-1 and GAS beat bottom of the table Knights, 3-1. Interestingly, the next four rounds of league games, that take us to the halfway stage, will see the top six placed sides playing mainly against one another – time to sort the men from the boys.
Colloids and ANP remain in first and second places in division two following 3-2 and 2-1 wins against University and HKUSA respectively, Spartans moved into the top three following a 4-0 win over a Dynamo side whose early season form seems to have deserted them, French Kiss are fourth after they defeated Hearts 2-0, White Youth won 3-0 against Boca and are nicely placed with 12 points in fifth place and Hoo Cheung pulled away from the relegation places with a 2-1 win over Azzurri, who dropped to sixth place.
OBA are the new leaders of the third division following a 3-2 win over a WYFC84 team who now have the same amount of points and are second on goal difference, Oxford jumped to third place after a 2-0 win over Darts who are now in fourth place, Yan Po and Corinthians drew 2-2, Crusaders edged HOB by the odd goal in five, Grasshoppers and Wah Yan’s Class of ’06 drew 1-1 and GGFC recorded their first win of the season 3-1 against HKSS.
HKU70s march to glory continued with a fine 4-2 win over Standard Chartered to leave the teams in first and third positions respectively, Power 22 stay in the promotion places following a 1-0 win over Amphibians, Barclays continued their fine start to the season with a 4-1 win over CAPS, Skyline went down 0-1 to Youth Coaches, Rising Sun stung Scorpions with the only goal of the game and Hung Art beat Bapcoll 3-0.
