USRC won their first ever Division One Championship yesterday after defeating White Youth 3-0, USRC had finished third and then second in the previous two seasons and went one better after an impressive run-in, special mention must go to White Youth who have been ever present in the top flight for the previous twenty years and will now be playing their football in division two next season, 816, leaders for most of the season, were runners-up after a 2-2 draw with French Kiss and they will be looking forward to the cup final next week, KCC finished in third place a year after promotion to div 1 and ended the season with a 1-1 draw against Antonhill who will play division one football next season after they finished with a better goal difference then Spartans who put up a real fight and finished the season with a 4-3 win over Albion, Colts took the Sports Road league bragging rights to after beating Squadron 4-0, which left Squadron in their joint lowest league placing in 30 years and Dragons defeated Wanderers 4-0.
ANP go up to the first division as Champions of Division Two after a pulsating 3-1 win over Swiss who have the consolation of achieving runners-up status and joining them in the top flight next season, Swiss were leading 1-0 at half time and with a draw sufficient to give them the title were looking good, however, ANP managed an equalizer and after Lee Cho Yiu scored a fantastic second goal ANP added a third for good measure which gave them the win but this was not enough to silence the excellent Swiss supporters, GAS finished third despite a 3-6 reverse against University, Oxford finished the season on a high after beating bottom of the table Azzurri, Boca finished the season in the top half after a 3-2 win over Hoo Cheung, Hearts drew 0-0 with Yan Po which was not enough to avoid the drop after CSOB won 2-1 against Wah Yan’s Class of ’84.
Mobster maintained the only unbeaten league record this season with a 1-1 draw against OBA and go up as undefeated champions, NASA ensured they would be playing division two football next season after a 4-1 win over Rising Sun coupled with CAPS playing out a nil-nil draw with WYFC06, Grasshoppers stay fourth after a 3-1 win over Standard Chartered and HKSS beat Amphibians 1-0.
GGFC won the fourth division after defeating a spirited Power 22 by two goals to one, Brett Hutton scoring the second goal for the GGs, Colloids will also be playing in the third division next season after a 5-0 victory against Youth Coaches ensured they will go up despite Crusaders who scoring an amazing 15 goals against HKU70s without reply, with goal difference the same Colloids go up after scoring more goals then Crusaders this season, Bapcoll finish in fourth place after a 1-1 draw Barclays, Dynamo ended the season in fifth place but were well beaten by Corinthians 3-1, Skyline ensured that HOB finished bottom and they didn’t after beating them 2-1.
