"Welcome to the new Yau Yee League website. We have moved from a traditional html website to a database system which will contain more readily available data. We have kept the look and feel of the new website similar to the previous version for familiarity and have launched the English version only for now. The Chinese version will go online in a few weeks time.
There are however a few VERY IMPORTANT things you need to note and observe with the new system.
1. Team reps.
- Only team reps from each team will be given passwords to log onto the team registration and reporting pages. Without the team rep password, you will NOT be able to register or de-register any players, view financial situation, post red card reports, etc.
- Team reps can only be registered and de-registered via the league AO and application to make such changes must be made at least 10 working days in advance with valid reason. Teams are reminded that the league does not encourage the changing of team officials during the playing season.
- Some teams may have NON-playing team reps. All team reps are set (default) as playing team reps and will take up the registration of a player. So if you wish to include NON-playing team reps (such as managers, coaches, sponsors, etc.) this must be specified to the AO. Any changes in the status of a team rep must be done via the AO and the usual registration deadline rules apply. (i.e. if you don't have enough players and need to switch a NON-playing team rep to a playing team rep, you need to apply to the AO at least 48 hours prior to the kick-off of the match. Please remember that the total number of "players" you can register to a team is 30. Therefore, if you want to switch a NON-playing team rep to a playing team rep and you already have 30 players registered, you will need to first de-register a player before you can make the application).
2. Player registration
- Again, only team reps will be given passwords to log onto the team editing pages. These passwords will be emailed to you early next week.
- SINCE WE HAVE MOVED FROM A HTML SYSTEM TO A DATABASE SYSTEM, THE DATA FROM THE PREVIOUS VERSION OF THE WEBSITE HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED BY HAND. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK AND EDIT ALL PLAYERS ON YOUR TEAM ONCE YOU RECEIVE YOUR PASSWORD AS THERE MAY BE SOME HUMAN ERROR DURING THE TRANSFER. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE TEAM REPS TO MAKE SURE THAT THE PLAYER DATA IS CORRECT
- Player registration is automated and those who are successfully registered by the system will show up on the team page, the photo page AND the team sheet page immediately upon reload.
- This is the ONLY way you can make a registration of a new player. The AO or any other exco member will NO longer entertain the registration of players on behalf of teams.
- Please TRIPLE check all the data you have entered for the player before you upload it as the data will automatically be transferred to the team sheet. If you misspell a player's name or mis-type his ID card, your player will not be allowed to play if the referee sees that the data does not match his ID document.
- Since the registration process now is completely automated, there will be NO webmaster to help you crop photos. You must ensure the player photo is of the correct dimension or it will not be accepted by the system.
- The player registration system has been set to not accept registrations that do not conform to our registration rules, i.e. less than 48 hours before the start of a match, more than 2 transfers between teams, or any transfers after February 1.
3. Team sheets
- PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT THE OLD EXCEL SYSTEM OF TEAM SHEETS IS NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE.
- PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT TEAM SHEETS WITH PLAYER INFORMATION AMENDED MANUALLY ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
- As the database system automatically updates the team sheets once you have made new registrations, Team sheets and photo sheets MUST be printed from the team rep login page for games.
- Teams without the printed team sheets (OR with an old excel team sheet OR with a team sheet with player information amended by hand) will be deemed to have turn up at a match without a valid team sheet.
- Since the new database system will carry all forms of data, team reps are reminded that team sheets must be filled-in in full before submission or they will be fined. The data required includes:
a. Date
b. League/Cup game
c. Opposition team
d. Final Score
e. The starting players
f. Yellow cards / red cards
g. Goal scorers
h. The substitutes
i. Referees scores
- Please understand that the system now allows all this information to be included so that not only the teams but individual players will have such data following his YYL career. We're sure most players will appreciate this function. HOWEVER, the only way we can have this up to date and accurate is if you as team reps correctly and diligently fill-in such information.
- Please read the "please read before printing team form" section to properly set up your printer to print out the team sheet.
4. Red card report
- Red card reporting can be done via the team editing page that team reps have access to.
5. Team finances
- The system will now carry a running display of your team's finances also accessible via the team editing page. Go to the "status" button.
