As we enter the business end of the season things remain tight in most divisions. Squadron maintained their 2 point lead at the top putting 4 past Albion and USRC remained in contention with a 5-2 win against Antonhill so it will go down to the last game of the season to decide the 2006-07 champions. In other games Spartans beat 816 4 to 2, Wanderers won 5-0 against Hearts, ANP lost to Colts 1-8 and White Youth and Dragons shared the spoils in a 6 goal thriller. In Division 2 KCC moved into top spot with a 5-1 win against HKSS, French Kiss drew with Wah Yan but remained in the top two as Swiss were held 1-1 by University, Germans were beaten by the odd goal in 5 by Yan Po, Hoo Cheung beat Amphibians 3 goals to 1 & CSOB and Azzurri played out a 1-1 stalemate. Oxford won their 20th league game of the season with a 3-0 victory over Darts, Caps and Boca shared the spoils in a 2 each draw leaving Boca favourites for the second promotion spot, at the bottom end Power 22 beat GGFC 2-1 and Standard Chartered moved away from the relegation area with a 1-0 win against Scorpions, in the other games NASA won 1-0 over Grasshoppers and the Hung Art vs OBA game was goalless. In Div 4 Skyline went down 1-2 against HKU70s, WYFC06 and Rising Sun drew 1-1 meaning Rising Sun will be promoted if they win their last game next week, Barclays beat HOB 1-0, Bapcoll put 3 past Dynamo without reply, a Phil Murton’s inspired Colloids put 7 past Green Tree and HKDC Mobsters needing to win to remain in top spot won 8-0 against Youth Coaches with a rasping drive from 12 yards out by John Fawcett being the pick of the goals.
