It is with great sadness that exco bring the news that Henrik Lorenz, one of the original founding members of the Yau Yee Football League, has passed away. Henrik contributed greatly to the starting of the YYL and also formed, managed, captained and played many years for the German All Stars who were one of the founding YYL teams and who have been ever present in the league since the first season in 1977. Anyone who came into contact with Henrik were immediately aware of his charisma and those that got to know him better for his commitment to football and his great warmth and generosity. Henrik loved the game of football and the competition and friendships it brought; in return Henrik gave enormously to football and in particular to Hong Kong and YYL football. Henrik rest in peace, you are already sorely missed by all of your Yau Yee friends.
